One of my favorite authors has two contests going right now. Sheila Kelly aka Lynn Viehl aka S.L. Viehl aka a few other things… on the web, she’s known as Paperback Writer, or PBW.
The first, open til midnight EST Saturday, is for an unsigned copy of Ray Bradbury’s Zen in the Art of Writing. I’ve looked at that one, and the title has always been a turn-off for me. After reading her comments on how the title just doesn’t fit the book, maybe I’ll have to ignore the title and try it out anyways.
The other contest is about her most recent release, Frostfire. Go check out her explanation of the contest, the prize being a “bookwish” (any book available from an online bookseller for $30 or less, not counting shipping), and then add her to your must read list.
An “as complete as possible” bibliography isĀ here.
For a different take on science fiction, and a 10-book series worth reading all the way to the end, try StarDoc.
If you’re sick and tired of stereotypical vampires, try the Darkyn.
